I had been trying to figure out how to delete a Global Space that I had created but don't want to use anymore. I couldn't find out a way to do so. I checked some of the other posts on the site and learned that the person has to be a member of confluence-administators group. I see it listed as one of the groups. However, when I go to User Management and try to edit Group seetting for the user, it won't list it as one of the choices. Wonder why? I have all the privileges, including system-administratos.
It is a restricted function in OnDemand: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Restricted+Functions+in+Atlassian+OnDemand#RestrictedFunctionsinAtlassianOnDemand-Confluence
Thanks John. I figured out that even though I don't explicitly have confluence-administrator group membership privileges in the OnDemand version, I was able to delete the extraneous "Space." It is just not straightforward to get to the specific admin page where the "Remove Space" option is buried.
