Cann't create a page because of an allegedly already existing title

Deleted user June 4, 2014

I want to create a page but i get an error "A page already exists with the title 'XXX' in the space 'XXX' ".

But i cann't find a page with the title. Neither the tree at the left show me a page with that title nor the confluence search find a page.

Any ideas?

You should ask your space admin, maybe the page exists but you do not have the permissions to view it.

Thanks for your hints. The page has a view restriction. Although i am a space admin i cann't see the page. But after removing the restriction the page is displayed.

Thanks again.

Another possibility is that a page was created and has been deleted and now is still in the trash.
