Cannot access from external PC

Greg Parsons January 12, 2013

We have installed Confluence for evaluation on a Windows 2012 server and the install runs fine and we can access the system using the browser on the server. However when we try to access from another computer there is no response form the server. We changed the server URL but still we cannot access. Other websites on the same server (using port 80) are fine. We have checked the firewall and port 8090 is allowed through.

Sorry, I thought we had already responded to this. Problem was we had opened 8090 for IIS not for Tomcat. I also got a response from one of your team answering a followup question as to whether IIS and Tomcat can co-exist on the same server.

Regards, Greg

Not just firewall, also check whether the network administration allows access to a different port than 80 for HTTP? Are you trying to access the machine from another machine in the same subnet?
