Dear Community,
I searched the web now for quite some time and also followed the other confluence help articles but cannot solve by problem:
I am an admin on a server (v7.2.1) and cannot create new external users with the Confluence Internal Directory specification. I only have the possibility to add users with my companies internal Delegated LDAP Authentication (see screenshot)
Where can I create users in the internal directory or shouldn't there be a drop down field where I can define if I want to create a user with internal or LDAP directory?
Crazy thing: I already have created external users successfully in the past and can see that the correct internal directory was used, see screenshot.
Thank you for your help
Topic was solved by trial an error by myself.
I had to log on as another admin user which was already part of the Confluence internal directory.
Then I used that local admin to change the directory order and created the local external users with the internal directory.
Than I had to switch the directory order again, otherwise I experienced login issues as with my admin who is part of the LDAP Windows AD
Hi in the user directories ,
i think you have to choose the directory order.
if you want to use LDAP authentication, that should be on Top.

Hi, I do not want to use my companies Microsoft Active Directory but the Confluence internal directory in the creation process.
And I already tried swithing the directory order.
It did not help.
So, sorry, that did not help
