Cannot import an iCal file

Hi community,

We are trying to migrate Team Calendar from one instance to the other. It seems there is no better way for migration, so we try to do export/import iCal file. When importing an iCal file, I run into the below errors:

2018-09-17 10:06:34,086 ERROR [http-nio-8090-exec-178] [extra.calendar3.xwork.ImportSubCalendarAction] execute Unable to import events of type other

And the calendar was imported partially with missing events. Did someone get the similar error before?

Hello HaoW,

It looks like you're probably hitting into a known issue with Confluence.

• NullPointerException when importing calendar from a different instance.

The recommended workaround would be to 

• Uninstall Team Calendars 6.0.x
• Install Team Calendars 5.3.20
• Import the ICS file
• Upgrade to TC 6.0.x

You might get a "Not Compatible" message when using Team Calendars 5.3.20, but the add-on should work.

Thanks Sattesh, it worked! We kept running with 5.3.20 later on and didn't upgrade to 6.
