Cannot log into Confluence

I had to install an older version of Confluence because for some reason I kept getting errors using the database with a newer version.

I thought everything ran smoothly until not being able to login! I do not see any of the users accounts in the MySQL database but I do see the posts which is what I need above all.

Is there a way to manually create a user account? And how can I connect it to JIRA (which is running without problems)?

I think the user accounts are in JIRA because they were originally linked up.

I am using a Windows server. PLEASE HELP. Thank you.

Diana, please, are you using AD ?

Please, check your sync with active directors also users in JIRA.
