If you want "just one" row then may be creating something like master-detail data structures via smart multi-row field is an overkill, and you should just store the details in just one form?

I would like the table to look like the following: Please refer to the Plan Development and Projected Planning Phases. Is there a better way to construct without using smart mult-row.
Thank you!
Statement of Purpose | Plan Development | Deliverables | Projected Planning Phases* | Assumptions | Financial Baseline/Target
1.Scope/Plan | (Plan) | Authorize To Start | (Plan Date)
2.Issues/Defects (Process based, Controls, etc.) | (Plan) | Permit To Plan | (Plan Dates)
3.Defect – Key Weightings | (Plan) | Permit To Build | (Plan Dates)

OK, this is a good candidate for the smart multi-row... not sure how this is related to having a "1 row limitation"

My goal is only give the user the option to create one set of the sub information not mulitple sets.
