Hello,
I want to use the daily mail notification settings but I'm not sure, how this will actually work. My intention is to receive once a day a mail with an overview of articles, which have been created or edited with my account this day. So somehow a mix of the options "Receive daily notifications" and "show modified contents" would suit my needs. Or do I need a plugin for these specific requirements?
Regards,
Lennart
It seems, that this case is not covered by Confluence. Is there any chance to get a bigger granularity with the notifications?
Of course, much time has passed since the last update on this thread, but now this topic becomes relevant again for us. Also the supposed notification criteria have slightly changed. Every user should get a daily message, whenever some of the article with him as the owner have been edited or commented. The given options in Confluence don't seem to have this ability at all, so maybe there is an add-on or anything else.
Also it seems, that there are two ways of notification: one by notifying so-called "watchers" immediately, when the article has changed. The other one gives the user a weekly (or daily) update about the pages and spaces, he had opt-in for while considering the set notification options per user. Can I de-activate the "watchers" notification in general? We can't use this feature at all and it would also blow up our mail storages.
Thank you very much in advance and have a nice Advent season.
Lennart
Hi Lennart,
What you've described ("once a day a mail with an overview of articles, which have been created or edited with my account this day") is what's in the Daily Updates email you can enable from the Settings on your profile.
The email is generated and sent at midnight server time. For pages that were updated, there's a link to view the changes in the most recently published version. Here's an example of what comes in the email:

Daniel

Hi Daniel,
so I tried these settings but now I get a summary of every edited or created article no matter who the autor was. As far as I have read through the documentation it should work like the option "Subscribe to daily updates" but without including all articles I can access. I just need a daily overview about every article I have created or edited.

Lennart

I accidentally used the atlassian profile of a colleague to reply. So don't worry :)
