Hi there,
Does adding labels to a confluence article make it more likely to appear higher on search results?
I've tried adding relevant search terms to a given article to make it appear at the top when searching that term. But after adding it seems to have no effect, and appears to only show the article when strictly using similar or same term as what is used in the article title.
Do adding labels actually make it easier to find confluence articles? Is the indexing/search immediate or do i have to wait or index the pages for the search to use the labels somehow?
Thank you in advance.
Hi @katsutoshi7777 ,
I know people that would call that an improper kind of label usage ;-)
As for search results ranking; please have a look here an here.
TLDR: You better modify your article frequently and have the key words in the title :-)
Cheers,
Nicolai
Hi, welcome to the community!
Labels in Confluence help with filtering and organization, but they don’t significantly boost search rankings. The search function gives more weight to titles, headings, and body text. Adding relevant keywords directly to the content is your best bet.
Hope this helps!
