Confluence Blog Post Macro does not post 2015 entries...

We have the Blog Post macro embedded on our site's home page.  It does not retrieve/show the most recent posts.  Cut-off for posts seems to be December 2014.  I see a post proposing that the solution is to rebuild Content Indices.  Can anyone confirm before we start the process?  What is the reason for the error and solution?

Hi Niels,

Recently we seen many of our customer experiencing an issue describe in our knowledge base article mentioned below:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/Index+not+working+due+to+'journal+state+store+is+corrupt'+error

It might be related with the change of the year, but we are not sure yet. Please review your atlassian-confluence.log which is located in <CONF_HOME_Dir>/logs/. If you see the mentioned stack trace, please apply the provided solution and see if it helps.

Hi Niels,

Symptoms such as you describe do call for a reindex since the search index controls RSS feeds, searching, Recently Updated, the People Directory, Space Activity, and other components in Confluence.

This article gives some reasons why the index may fail:

If reindexing in the UI doesn't work, please try reindexing from scratch:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/Rebuild+the+Content+Indices+from+Scratch
