We have the Blog Post macro embedded on our site's home page. It does not retrieve/show the most recent posts. Cut-off for posts seems to be December 2014. I see a post proposing that the solution is to rebuild Content Indices. Can anyone confirm before we start the process? What is the reason for the error and solution?

which is located in <CONF_HOME_Dir>/logs

Symptoms such as you describe do call for a reindex since the search index controls RSS feeds, searching, Recently Updated, the People Directory, Space Activity, and other components in Confluence.

If reindexing in the UI doesn't work, please try reindexing from scratch:
