Previously, I was able to import new data into my confluence database via CSV. The import tool allowed me to select the rows I wanted to import, and I could preview before importing. Once I imported, the data was entered as new rows. Now, the upload of a CSV only allows to either replace all my current data, or add the data as new fields (placing the data in new columns instead of rows). What is the best way to import now? I just would like to add the data as new rows, like I was previously able to.
Hi @marya_caples ,
Not sure why they have 'removed' previous functionality and replaced it with current behaviour.
There's an open feature suggestion for it: CONFCLOUD-81311: Add option to append data to existing columns in Databases from the CSV Importer (I'd recommend dropping a vote and potentially a comment with your requirement there)
As stated in the workaround section, you could only do this:
Manually adjust the imported data:
1. Review the imported data
2. Manually Cut or Copy the imported data
3. Paste it in the desired location
4. Delete the new columns
Not sure if there's any other way though 🤔
Cheers,
Tobi
