When install a new Confluence I am trying to get a new evaluation license from this page:
It use to work before but now when select Confluence it just shows a blank fields. So, no way to get a Server ID without going back. But event on the server itself the Server ID field is locked. Hmm.. it looks like the page parameters passing is broken.
I am installing Confluence via Deploy4Me if it is important, but the problem is not related to that deployment service.
It was a bug from Atlassian's side. They just have notified that it is solved now. Thanks to everyone for attention.
It is the out of the shelf package. The link is generated by the Confluence initial configuration screen. The link is targeted Atlassian's website. So, it is the problem with Atlassian's website page. You can check it on any fresh installation of Confluence. We was able to reproduce it on 5.7.1 and 5.6.5. Again it is a fresh of the shelf installation on Linux using .bin linux installer. There was no problem with this before. Our last test was about 1 month ago, And it was fine.

Sounds like you have a network issue - it's working fine for me with a 5.7.1 installer on a linux box.

It is not a network issue. I have deployed a one more server for you http://ec2-52-74-79-233.ap-southeast-1.compute.amazonaws.com/setup/setuplicense.action Click "generate an evaluation license online" and it will show up the page with none selected. When you select "Confluence (Server)" it will show up the form to enter a server ID but not populates it. So, the form is not working as before. This is a bug which affects the deployment experience. By the way here https://my.atlassian.com/license/evaluation?product=Confluence&licensefieldname=licenseString&version=5.7.1&build=5781&sid=B6YA-877M-MAAL-RVGH&callback=http://ec2-52-74-79-233.ap-southeast-1.compute.amazonaws.com/setup/setuplicense.action&ref=prod the form "Leave Feedback" is not working too.

Then the question becomes "what on your platform is breaking it"? When I run up a new 5.7.1 installation here, I cannot replicate the problem. So there's something in your setup that is causing it.

Hi Nic, Could you please do the following: 1. Open a URL http://ec2-52-74-79-233.ap-southeast-1.compute.amazonaws.com/setup/setuplicense.action 2. Click the link "generate an evaluation license online" 3. Enter you Atlassian's credentials 4. Select in the dropdown "Confluence (server)" Can you see a form "New evaluation license"? Can you see a field "Server ID"? Is it blank? Is it intended to be blank? Please do not point that something wrong with installation but test your products better. Please let me know if you were able to complete this step-by-step instructions and answer the questions. And yes, special thanks to your limit in 3 commonts for Atlassian's answers project. Kind regards, Pavel

Pavel, there's no need for me to test that, I don't doubt that you have an issue with it. What I am pointing out is that a download on my machine here works fine. As it does on a couple of other test boxes. So it's something on your machines that is wrong. It's also no good demanding people "test their products better". There is no reasonable way to test for every quirk of a setup someone might do. Confluence has been tested by Atlassian on a number of standardised environments. So when it doesn't work on an environment, the question becomes about the environment where it is failing. You'll need to debug what is wrong with your environment - it looks at a glance to be networking, but that's not certain. What does your log say? Also, I'm not an Atlassian.

Hi Nic, Thank you for your answer. I have created a ticket for Atlassian. Thank you for your time. Kind regards, Pavel

You might want to give them a bit more detail - describe what you're seeing, tell them what is in the log, and most importantly, tell them more about your environment to give them somewhere to look for what is wrong in the setup of that environment.

What happens if you do it using the off the shelf package, rather than Deploy4Me?
