Confluence: Mass upload new user

Duy Tran February 19, 2014

Hi All,

First off I'm a noob to confluence. I try searching but i only found stuff for JIRA for this but nothing for confluence.

I am working on confluence. We have hundreds of new users to add. Is there a way to mass add users (e.g. through a script and data file), other than going through the Administrator screen and adding them one at a time?

Thanks all for answering,

Duy

Hi Duy,

it depends, when they are all part of a directory like AD or LDAP, you can add the whole directory via the adminscreen.

If not, I'n not sure, if there is a plugin available doing this.

But, if you hava JIRA running, you can use jira for usermanagment in confluence and add all the users to JIRA.

Regards Steve

I'm not using AD or LDAP. I dont' think i have JIRA either. I guess this will have to be a manaual process.

Thanks for helping.
