We are planning to have a monthly 'offline' backup of our Confluence workspace. This is necessary in the event of a Confluence service outage where team members will still need access to these documents. Ideally we would want a monthly backup that overwrites the previous month.
Is there a way to achieve this? Thanks in advance.
Hello @Ruchin Lakhani !
Like Alexis said above, there is no in-built solution to automate a backup of your Confluence data. You can manually export pages and spaces and keep that as a backup.
However you can use third-party apps that allow you to create automated backups and will allow you to restore or export Conflence.
When restore is needed Atlassian team recommends to use Rewind as an automated backup and restore solution.
I just want to mention that we're planning to add export option on top of what's already there to allow users to access their data at all times and keep it on premise if needed.
Hi @Ruchin Lakhani ,
currently there is no built in solution to generate a backup automatically.
Instead, you can have a look at this documentation from Atlassian : https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/automate-backups-for-jira-cloud-779160659.html
It describes how to automate backups, either from a Jira Automation rule, or using standalone scripts (Powershell or Bash).
Let me know if this helps,
