For team members within company network they can access confluence like
http://ipaddress:port/signup.action?token=8270f3bd30a1b67..
for team members outside my company network , how would theybe able to access?
Does OnDemand solve that problem..Please explain
hi Aparna,
i suggest the external users should be able to access your instance the same way users from inside your network can...
unless your vhost config is set up with allow from & deny from directives.
in ondemand confluence there shouldn't be any restriction. if you host your own you can set up everything to fit your needs
hi.
could you please ask your network ppl to make your confluence host public reachable.
the confluence baseurl should be whatever you setup your host to respond to requests towards the system.
i.e. https://this-is-my-confluence.tld
or you may have a port at the end then sth like this https://this-is-my-confluence.tld:8008

i installed the evalution version , opened my port in firewall.
users within network are able to access http://myipadress:port/ but outside network get error 'page cannot be displayed'.
Where should i check the vhost config file ? or is there any other setting i should perform

may i ask how you try to access your confluence?
you must be reachable from outside...so for example private ip i.e. 192.168.x.x won't work until there is some kind of NAT or a LB in between that redirects external calls to internal ressources.
you would need an external interface with a public ip.
you might need correct DNS records to let ppl from outside (who not ask your internal DNS hosts) reach the correct host.
Confluence Base Url should be correct as well.
regards
