If the USER DIRECTORY of JIRA is added to Confluence, does Confluence automatically update the imported JIRA groups/users when a new user/group is added later on? Is it recognized immediately or do we have to import users/groups again?
Hi @KP11
Yes - if the user directory is a local JIRA user directory, it will synch with Confluence automagically (if integrated) -
How quick new users or groups are recognized is based on the Synchronization interval set on the JIRA directory configuration screen, by default.
Or you can manually force a synchronization (JIRA User Directories screen, click Synchronize) which will allow you to see the change immediately.
No you should not have to import anything.
BTW - when using Crowd, the directory cache synchronization works the same (and manual synch is on whatever app Crowd is serving up directories to).
Hope this helps.
Ellen

Sys admin I think.
Did you try the username you set up when first adding the app in JIRA as a client?
