Hello,
Is it possible to generate log files for a single space? Is there a script I can use? Or is there a hidden feature available?
Thanks,
Rosemary
No there is no way to isolate the level of logging you are looking for. However, there are alternative solutions. For example, you can identify the class which is performing the pdf export by doing a thread dump during this very long process. Then increasing the logging on the class within Confluence to get more info in your logs. Though if you have a valid support license, this may be better to work with our support team to resolve.
I have a small space that is not exporting to PDF. Yet, I have other much larger spaces that export without any issues. I want to know what could possibly be causing the problem. The space is very small with only 50 pages. After the first failure to export, I did the following: 1. I checked all the images to make sure they were properly attached. Images with colons in the name (Snagit adds that to the default titles) were modified. 2. Page titles were checked to make sure restricted special characters weren't being used. 3. The length of each page was checked. Confluence doesn't do well with really long pages. I shortened pages that I thought might be too long. 4. I then went through and slowly exported a few pages at a time to see if I could isolate the page(s) that were hanging up the process. I found several pages that either wouldn't export or take over an hour to PDF. Since I can't figure out why these pages aren't exporting, I want a log file to see if I can pinpoint the issue. I have no idea what I expect to see in the log file since I've already checked for what I can think of. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think you will get a better answer if you edit your question to include details on what you expect to see in this log file.
