Confluence import export path issues

Sadath Ali Syed August 20, 2020

We are in the process on importing and exporting a space from Stage Environment to Production Environment. We have XML file handy that we exported from stage (Space tools -> Content Tools -> Export).
However, we are getting the below error when we try to import in prod:
"The directory specified does not exist, or cannot be accessed.".
Can someone please help with the exact path on the server where the imported XML needs to be placed and what is the path format that needs to be entered on Confluence frontend?

The path does not matter where an xml file is stored.
With the import only the storage location has to be specified exactly.
For very large xml files, atlassien recommends storing them on the server in the confluence restore directory.
