Hi,
Health check comes up with "maximum number of processes" error.
It doesn't show how many processes are running.
I am running Confluence as root, please advise how to increase to 4096.
Thank you,
Dan
Hi Dan,
You can follow this KB to increase the maximum number of processes Confluence uses - https://confluence.atlassian.com/kb/health-check-thread-limit-858578685.html
However, I recommend installing Confluence on Linux/Windows OS as MacOS is not recommended for a production instance of Confluence. Please see this guide for Supported Platforms - https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/supported-platforms-207488198.html
This guide will also help with determining hardware requirements - https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/server-hardware-requirements-guide-30736403.html
Hi Daniel,
The KB info provided doesn't apply to Mac OS.
I only have Macs, so we should be able to run Confluence here.
My Macs meet the hardware requirements.

Hi Dan,
Unfortunately I'm not a MacOS expert so can't help you further. You could try installing Linux on your Mac if you have spare hardware and see if that helps get around the max process limit.
