Confluence upgrade

Hello support,

We are using Confluence 5.6.6 and thinking of upgrade to newest version. I am wondering if you have any document for us to refer to regarding the upgrade procedure/steps? How about the app data? should it be backed up somewhere first? Thanks.

You should find all you need at https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/upgrade-notes-overview-176882813.html but pay careful attention to the need to review each version upgrade.

You should of course rehearse this in a development environment before proceeding with your live environment and always take a backup (if not several!)
