Confluence utilizes all CPU

I just installed and configured confluence on our server. When I start the service, it launches many instances and utilizes 100% of CPU. I have a four core cpu.

Which version of confluence did you install?

May be you can increase the available RAM. check this.

Thanks for  your response. I have 4 Gigs of RAM and a 4 core cpu on the system which satisfies our confluence 6 requirements.
