When including a contriboturs macro on the confluence page, it displays the last X persons that have edited the page. However, it fails to show who created the page. That seems like a bug to me. Or am I doing something wrong?
Since this is how it seems to work right now, I concider it a bug. Therefor I created an issue at: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-27898
Hi Nicklas,
I think any additions to the page made before, or at the same time the macro gets added to the page, are being ignored by the macro. When you create a new page and add the macro without adding any other data, it will display no contributers. If you would then edit the page, add data and save again, you will show up as contributer (also when you are the creator). I'm not really sure if we should rate this as a bug or not, but if you feel it should, please raise a support ticket for this.
Cheers,

What I do is that I have the macro on a global template (togheter with quite a lot of more text). I then go into a Confluence page - press "Add page from template". I get a new page in edit mode with the contributor macro there. I write some more text on the page and press save. Then when I view the page no contributors are displayed.
So it's not about me not adding any text to the page. If that was the case then I could live with it easily. But now it's about me adding a new page from a template and adding lots of text to that page.

If you use the "add page from template" option, and end up in the edit mode, directly save without making any extra additions. After you have done this, you enter edit mode again, add all the data you want to the template and save. Now you will show up as contributor. The macro only gets triggered at the moment you save your page. When you place it on the page in edit mode, and made extra additions, it hasn't been triggered yet, and thus will not consider you to be a contributor yet. Any changes made after the first save will be recorded and processed by the macro.
