Hi,
I'm having the task to migrate a Mediawiki to our OnDemand Confluence instance. Is the Universal Wiki Converter available in such a situation? If not, do I have an alternative beside a lot of manual copy & pasting?
You'd need to do this on a local Confluence installation, and follow similar steps as this post. Make sure you download Confluence OD locally. Then prepare a space by space export to be import into OnDemand. It's a fair amount of manual work, but I believe it might be better than manually copy/paste everything.
Hello,
We are also looking to migrate/import our mediawiki to our Confluence cloud.
As the cloud portion and mediawiki are already in place, I am wondering if the local install of Conlfuence cloud is the recommended path to doing so? From what I gather (with the exception of this article), this may not be necessary and the steps to migration require an install of UWC outlined here https://migrations.atlassian.net/wiki/display/UWC/UWC+Quick+Start, then an export of the mediawiki outlined here https://migrations.atlassian.net/wiki/display/UWC/UWC+Mediawiki+Notes.
Can you confirm the recommended path to achieve such a migration?
Thank you kindly,
-Steve
