At my company we have pages, each one representing a physical item, and we have used the custom status ("/status [status]") within each page to denote the status for the physical object. Have have defined 8 custom statuses and applied them across a growing number of pages.
What we'd like to do is have a table on the parent page (the pages we want to scope are children to this page) that tabulates the custom status on each page so we can get an easy count of each status.
Hi @Nathan Clarke ,
For your case, I can suggest our app - Handy Macros for Confluence.
You can use our Handy Status macro to represent an item that you need. Together with Page Properties and Page Properties Report macros, you can create dynamic reports and change the status right in the view mode.
You can check this blog post to find out more about Handy Status.
Alternatively, you can use our Handy Page Status with Page Status Report to keep track of your page statuses and search for pages in a certain status by multiple criteria.
This blog post takes a closer look at the Handy Page status and Page Status Report.
If you need more information, I am glad to showcase Handy Macros on a demo.
Best regards,
Dmitriy

Have you considered using page properties? You could the have a page with the page properties report that would technically show a count of how many.
