I want to create a button on a WIKI page, that when the information entered on the page is completed, the user clicks the button, and this will then trigger the publish action and also send out a email to the next participant in the process?
How is this different than what is currently built in to the system? Users can watch a page and when you are done editing the page you hit the publish button in the editor and the watchers get notified of the change?
The users of this page will be starting a process to carry of through a specific life cycle. They can't watch the page for us and also the other side of this is also to automate this as much as possible.
They do step 1, hit submit, trigger then email to second part of process and team to continue.
I hope that makes more sense of the difference of why what is currently part of default process and functionality won't work.
Thank you

Have you looked into Comala Workflows? It sounds like it might be what you are looking for.

HI @tiaan.schulz, our app Comala Workflows seems like it would be a good fit for this, provided that your users are signed in (and not anonymous users). It can't work exactly as you've indicated, but it could get pretty close.
There is an evaluation license available for the app, and I'd love to answer any questions you might have to get you started.

Hello, Tiaan,
Maybe our Easy Document Signer (EDM) could be a solution. The signing of the page takes place via button and triggers the next process step. As parameters several persons or a group can be deposited, which receive a mail. Substitution can also be regulated via the user profile. You can find the EDM on the Marketplace.
