Create new page dialog hangs indefinetly before content/templates are displayed

I have a problem very well described by this post https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/creating-a-page-in-firefox-causes-the-create-dialog-to-wait-indefinitely-790791437.html , except that it happens both in Firefox and Chrome, and that we are using the cloud version of confluence.

We have the same issue on several computers, several different instances of confluence cloud. I have only tested on Windows 10. It has been like this for several weeks at least and it is quite frustrating.

When it happens I can hit ESC key to close the dialogue, and the second time the dialogue box loads with content immediately.

Does anyone recognize this, and, if so, have a resolution?

I could not replicate the behaviour you're experiencing on our test instance using Chrome and Firefox.
