I'm trying to create a new page called 'Processes' and receive the error:
"A page with the title "Processes" already exists within this space. Enter a different title for your page"
I am unable to locate a page with the same title anywhere in the current space or our entire Wiki. I'm wondering if someone else has created a page with the same name but restricted access to this specific page. I can't find anything in my search results.
Does anyone know how I can go about locating this phantom page?
Usually, you can verify the confluence page by:
<Confluence base url>/display/<SPACEKEY>/Processes
If the page is restricted then you cannot view the page, better go with different page name.
Thanks,
Ram.
Thanks so much for your reply.
The page really needed to be called 'Processes' so wasn't as simple as just choosing a different name unfortunately. However, after digging around I managed to figure out that a page with the same name was already created but had restricted permissions.
I was able to locate it by going to space tools > restricted access and locating the page.
I'm only a space admin so don't think I can grant myself access (will need to contact our system admin to see if they can grant access as the page owner if off work at the moment).
Thanks a lot for the URL tip since that works too! I'll remember moving forward :)
Cheers,
Chilayne

Hi,
I know I'm late in the game, but I was facing the same problem. Being a space admin didn't help either, as the page causing the problem wasn't listed in the restricted pages, which left me a bit dumbfounded.
However, this tip with the URL (kinda obvious in retrospect, but somethimes you need such tips ;)) helped, as it told me the page is restricted because it inherited the restriction from its parent! So even if I still don't know which page the parent is supposed to be, at least the riddle of the missing but conflicting page is solved.
Thanks for the tip!
Marc
