Is there a way to add a dynamic label to a template?
We are trying to use a space as an area that manages work requests. Each work request is a page with several sub-pages. The sub-pages are all created off of other templates. But, that also means the labels are all the same.
Example:
Site - Work Requests - contains multiple Change Requests
Change Request - Page created with a template that has the following sub pages
If I have more than 1 work request, then I can't display information specific to the Change Request because the labels are the same. so Work Request A could display all requirements form other work requests.
What I would like to do is find a way to pull the work request number into the label (requirement-ABCD4567).
Any ideas?
This is more about managing the requirements piece, rather than managing the actual work request. We have multiple applications in play today that are used to manage requirements, projects, defects, etc. So, we are trying to create an outlet where the Business side can maintain their information.
We're using the requirements and tying them to Feature requests in Jira, which works out great. But, we just need to consolidate the business more.
Thomas,
Have you tried using Jira? You can customize workflows based on the type of request (project). It will even roll a unique ID for you when you cut a new ticket.
Confluence is or can be a lot of things, but it seems like you are reinventing the wheel with this one.
