Custom Field values not displayed in the Jira IssueFilter Macro

Hi,

I have created a custom field in Jira. The field contains list with single selection. When I display the issue list in confluence using Jira Issue/Filter macro (in a tabular format), the value for Custom column is empty for every row(jira issue). Interestingly when I create a pie chart based on custom field, it does display the chart correctly.

There are lot of questions asked in the community on this topic but I couldn't find any with a satisfying answer. 

We are using Jira Cloud. Context is set to Default Configuration Scheme ie the custom field is available to all issue types across all projects

Any pointers are helpful

Update : The custom field values were displayed automatically after couple of removal and addition of the macro. I do not know how it started working though.
