With the code macro in Confluence 5.1, there are a number of languages that have syntax highlighting automatically, and I understand how new ones can be added, but there doesn't seem to be a way to EDIT an existing (not user-created) language. Specifically, I don't know how to edit the syntax highlighting brush for Ruby, nor can I add a new brush for Ruby because one already exists (by default). In short, this is because the brush for Ruby is deficient in a few specific ways, and I'd like to fix those.
In the mean time, I chose to add a new language brush akin to "Ruby2" that does not go backward to pages with the ruby language chosen, but can be use for future pages (though that leaves a forked syntax problem that's going to come back to haunt us later).
