Hi everyone,
I was trying to deactivate the peoples directory on a confluence Instance. I followed the steps in this acticle:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/hiding-the-people-directory-196816.html
I edited the setenv.sh file and inserted the argument unter the "End of commonly modified Java options" Block like this:
CATALINA_OPTS="-Dconfluence.disable.peopledirectory.all=true ${CATALINA_OPTS}"
Then I stopped and started the service. Unfortunately the Peoples Directory was still active and acessible after the restart. I tested this with a regular user. Any thought on what might have gone wrong?
Cherst

Hi @Daniel Meuser Welcome to the Atlassian community,
Can you share the screenshot of your setenv.sh files where you added this argument just to confirm if there are any issues.
