Good day,

It seems that Atlassian has deactivated one of my accounts. Is it possible to request a reactivation ? If not, does it mean all data and content is lost ?

Thanks

Hi @Grynberg ,

If Atlassian has deactivated one of your accounts, it's best to reach out to their support or customer service team directly. Typically, accounts are deactivated due to specific reasons, which could range from billing issues to security concerns or violations of terms of service.
Contacting their Atlassian support team is the most effective way to understand the reason for deactivation and to request reactivation.

I strongly suggest to raise a support ticket with Atlassian: Atlassian support

Please select:

  • What can we help you with?
    • My Account
  • Select a topic.
    • Other
  • Your Atlassian URL.
    • Leave empty
  • Give us more details.
    • Copy/paste your question in this field.

Regarding the data and content associated with the deactivated account, typically, Atlassian doesn't immediately delete data upon deactivating an account. However, it's crucial to act swiftly and communicate with support team to ensure the preservation of your data.

Atlassian might have a grace period or backup mechanism in place to retain your data even after deactivation. But it's crucial to clarify this directly with Atlassian support to ensure that your data is not lost permanently. They can guide you on the steps needed to regain access or retrieve your data if necessary.

Also, if you feel my input help you please accept the answer.

Regards,
Bhushan

Hi

Welcome to the community.

Is this regarding your own account or the free Confluence instance you had?

On the account topic, please read the post from

If it's regarding the instance, when is the last time it was used, as free plans have a retention period.

The following is from Atlassian's policy: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/what-is-the-free-jira-cloud-plan/

"Inactive Free products will be deactivated

If all the Jira Cloud products on your site are on a Free plan, your Jira Cloud products will be deactivated after 120 days of inactivity. If any Jira Cloud product on your site is on a paid plan, this doesn’t apply to that site.

Activity is simply logging in and viewing any page within a Jira product on your site. For example, if you log in and view a dashboard, report, Jira admin screen, or issue, any of those would count as activity. To keep your site active, log in and view something to restart the 120 days.

If you’re a site admin, we’ll send you emails to let you know if your site is at risk of being deactivated due to inactivity so you can log in and take action to prevent deactivation."
