We created some team spaces in Confluence, but every time there is any activity in the team space, all team members get a notification email. It seems like everyone is watching every page by default.
In the first week that we've been using Confluence, it has sent almost 10,000 email notifications (beyond 10,000, Mailgun makes us pay). Is there any way to disable auto-watching in team spaces?
Hi Kevin, check here, it's a previous question with some workarounds:
Hi Ramiro, thanks for your help. Messing with a mail server isn't feasible for us, since we use Mailgun, but asking everyone to stop watching the space worked!

Glad it helped!

I think it is really a bad design choice to have this activated by design, at least give an option dialog upon setup of a team space. Spamming users is the fastest road to make them angry.
