Disabling PDF download

Coco Gregg May 11, 2020

Hi there,

We've uploaded some of our policies to a space within our Confluence instance. They are linked as PDFs (I uploaded them) when you click the linked headline the PDF pops up so you can view/read. You unfortunately also have the option to download the PDF. Is there a way to turn this off? or a workaround?

Thanks!

Hi @Coco Gregg ,

Please find the steps below to disable the PDF export.

  1. Click on Cogwheel.
  2. Choose Confluence Admin / General Configuration.
  3. Choose Manage Add-ons form left hand panel.
  4. Select All Add-ons from drop-down menu.
  5. Search for Confluence PDF Export.
  6. Click on Disable.

Thanks,
Manisha

Hi Manisha,

Thanks for your response - you are correct, I just disabled PDF export but it looks like users are still able to download. Any suggestions?
