Does Confluence send (notification) emails to users that are deactivated

When a user is for example a watcher for a page but gets deactivated, does Confluence sends change notification emails to this user on page changes?

I expect not but I can't find any reference in the documentation that clearly explains this.

Can anybody give any clarification on this topic.

Hi Marco,

I did test this locally and Confluence do not send notification emails to deactivated/disabled users, regarding the reference of this information in our documentation, is informed in this page :)
