Don't see an option ('+' sign) to create a new page in a space

Hi everyone, I just started on confluence with a free plan for now. I have been able to create spaces, but don't see an option to create a new page within the space. The '+' sign does not show up. Will appreciate any pointers or ideas. Thanks.
