Download issue

Hello Group,

Simple question. I have used the link function to upload a link to an excel spreadsheet. In the past, it would immediately download the file. Now it shows a bad screenshot and has to click on the top right to download if you want. Can someone assist me to find out if something is wrong (user error) or is it my system issue?

Upfront thank you for your time to assist me.

Robert

Hi Robert,

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you're talking about confluence.

The link function should only give you a link to the url. It sounds like it's working as expected.

But there is also an Excel Macro. If you attach your spreadsheet to the excel macro it actually shows the data in your page without the viewer having to download anything.

It sounds like that's the functionality you want: attach the spreadsheet to the confluence page and then use the excel macro to display it.
