In Confluence we are pulling in Jira data to multiple locations on the same template page. Rather than have to add the same JQL filters to every location on the page I'd like to enter the filter parameters once on the page and have the JQL read it. Has anyone done this before and able to explain how?
You might want to look at the Plugin PocketQuery which enables you to connect to any SQL database (also your JIRA database). You can maintain a set of SQL queries that can have dynamic parameters in Confluence admin and execute them using a Macro. The plugin is free and there's some "get started" documentation here.
