Edit Confluence Document Locally

Timofey Sitnikov August 29, 2017

Our company has our own Confluence server.   Is it possible to edit confluence document locally?  For example, currently I use git and use markdown files so my process is:

- clone the repo

- edit markdown file

- add, commit, and push to publish the changes.

Is it possible to do something like that with confluence?

If you're using git, then you're probably technical enough to create something using the Confluence REST API, if you're interested in doing that. But, yeah, there's nothing built-in that does that.

Hi Timofey, that's not possible. I've checked our issue tracker and I couldn't find any Feature request for that, if that's something you'd be interested in, you can submit your idea at jira.atlassian.com by clicking on the Create button.

Regards!
