After upgrading to Confluence 4.3.7 two days back the instance has stopped sending emails. The SMTP settings are not changed; even the test email is not going.
On the screen it show email successfully sent to <emailid> but the mail is not actually sent. Mail Queue under Administration is also empty. No message is Error queue as well.

The only way to be sure about what's going on is checking the logs. So my suggestion is to check the atlassian-confluence.log for warning and errors related to mail.
Also the problem can be related to LDAP - mail information not been pick up.
