Hello,

I am using Confluence 5.4, and it seems there is a bug in embedding a PDF or PowerPoint document. After I attach the document, I do not see that document in the list of files that should be available when using the Multimedia Macro. Does anyone know if this is an existing issue?

Thanks!

Hey Jennifer,

Actually the multimedia macro is used to show the following types of files:

  • Adobe Flash (.swf)
  • Apple QuickTime (.mov)
  • Windows Media (.wma, .wmv)
  • Real Media (.rm, .ram)
  • MP3 and MP4 files (.mp3, .mp4)
  • MPEG files (.mpeg, .mpg)
  • AVI files (.avi)You may need to enable an avi decoder within your browser.

To see PDF/PPT you need to use the View File Macro.

If you are using the multimedia macro that would explain why you are not seeing pdf/ppt when listing the files :).

In case you were indeed refering to view file macro let me know.

Thanks and Regards,
