Error, liscense

Hi, I am new hired IT guy. and old IT person left, I am new in confluence, In ubuntu server conflunce was installed. I just reboot ubuntu but confluence was not start , i allow port the, and service start, but now ask liscense..Can anyone explain. I am bit worry of the previous project..and I am not sure backup parts..please help me this issue..

It's confusing to know if this is an existing install - I assume it is, since you mentioned another IT guy that left...

It sounds like your DB connection details got borked? Console logs would be helpful.... or if you could load the Confluence webserver port.

Perhaps you have some documentation somewhere about the correct connection details?

1. Did you make any changes to dbconfig.xml or any other files, before starting the confluence process ? If not, then no changes will be applied. 
2. If its a new install, then you can generate trial license from https://my.atlassian.com/products/index
3. If there was an active license before, contact your procurement team or the management. They can get it from https://my.atlassian.com

Welcome to the community!

It appears that the license for your Confluence may be outdated. Please obtain a temporary trial license at my.atlassian.com . Once the instance is functioning as intended, you can proceed with purchasing the commercial license.

I make confirm..there is error to connect database..May I ask if i coonect to old dtabase can i get old project file. ?

# i ama ablt to connect confluence.service. Now in web url..it ask to connect old database..if i connect , can i get my projj́ets files..i am sure i havenot deleted any file. And wher can i get my old liscense? I work as medium business company
