Error trying to update a Confluence page!

Hi All, I' m trying to understand why one of my users cannot simply update an edit on a Confluence page!?

As the System admin, I'm also unable to do this. I have checked the permissions and the original template, that the updates should be applied to.

Any suggestions welcome.

Try to first check if there are any page restrictions that override space permissions, as this could prevent editing even if you have the necessary access.

Another possible reason could be the template itself; if the page is based on a locked template or a restricted blueprint, it may limit editing functionality. It’s also worth clearing your browser’s cache or using an incognito window to rule out browser-related caching issues that sometimes interfere with permissions.

Additionally, check for any unclosed drafts or version conflicts on the page, as these can sometimes lock content from further edits. Make sure that no other user is currently editing the page or has an open draft, as simultaneous editing or open drafts can prevent others from making changes. as the system admin, you can review Confluence logs for any specific errors or warnings related to page editing, which may offer further insight.

If none of these works, restarting the Confluence server or reaching out to Atlassian support may be necessary to resolve the issue.

I sometimes get that when my network drops so maybe a glitch but then seems odd if no one can do either. Is it just this page or others effected? Doesnt seem to be permissions related
