We've just installed Confluence to perform an evaluation. We downloaded and installed 4.2, because that's what was offered by default. It seems that 4.2 has recently been released and as a side-effect there's a ton of plugins that are not yet available for installation through the UPM. I know the answer is generally 'how long is a piece of string' :-), but I was wondering if you could provide some indication on how long it will for most plugins to be validated and made available for 4.2? For us to evaluate Confluence as a complete solution, there a few plugins (some third-party, which you really have no control over) that we would like include in our testing.
Hi Andrew,
We from Atlassian unfortunately unable to answer your question appropriately here since third party plugin is something beyond our control. Some of the active developer might come up with a compatible version in less than one month or even 2 weeks, but we are not able to promise you or confirm to you anything on this.
The best method we could recommend you is to create a ticket on the respected plugins issue tracker to ensure that the developer aware that Confluence 4.2 is release and they need to update.
Sorry for not being able to help you much on this.
Cheers,
Septa Cahyadiputra
