Export to word of a restricted page - image handling

When we export a confluence page with embedded images to word, the resulting document will contain links to these images.

This works fine as long as the original confluence page is not restricted. If it is restricted we end up with a document where the images are not reachable (and show a x symbol)

How can we deal with this ?

This is a known bug that was recently fixed. See https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-6246 for details.

To get this fix, you would need to upgrade your instance to 4.2.
