When printing exported pdf or docx files, the printed version only shows the document as a small box in the corner of the page. Is there any way to print a full page document as it appears in Confluence?
So it’s not an issue with the PDF itself, but rather with how it’s being printed?
In that case, I’d recommend checking your printer settings - especially the paper size. Make sure it's set to something like A4 instead of Letter/Photo?

It's not so much a printer settings issue. It's more like the way that the pdf is being exported. The full page isn't being displayed and that affects the printed doc.

Ok, I had to ask 😉 - my old printer was very persistent about using Letter as the default paper size!

You can also try exporting the page using a different browser.
Certain @page properties may render differently due to enhancements in browser rendering standards. This may require adjustments to your existing CSS to ensure compatibility with modern browsers. For best results, please review our support guide.
Then, check your export settings, someone might have made changes: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/customize-exports-to-pdf/
You can take a look at my app documentation and try exporting pages as an example, I don’t use any custom export styles: https://lumo.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/acas/overview
If you're using macros in your content, note that some macros may have limited or no export support - which can affect the layout or visibility in the PDF.

We are using the Word macro for most files. In other cases, we use the pdf macro.

Ok, so if it's a file embedded in the page, then macro case is valid - it's being rendered inside a macro. In that case, you’ll likely need to open and print each file individually, rather than exporting the Confluence page to PDF.
A similar case was discussed here: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Confluence-questions/Re-Confluence-How-can-I-print-the-document-I-added/qaq-p/885410/comment-id/118796#M118796
