Exporting to accessible PDF

Data Rusty May 11, 2018

Hello everyone,

we are trying to export a page with images (with alternative text) and tables to a PDF that should be accessible. After exporting the page and testing it through Acrobat Reader Pro, the file fails the test. Any ideas? thanks!

Any updates? We are in great need of an accessible PDF

Hi Vasilis,

Looks like our Scroll PDF Exporter also does not meet the requirements.

Best,
Nils

Hi,

Could you share some further details how you test if the generated file is accessible?

I'd like to run the same test with an exported file created with our Scroll PDF Exporter, maybe this could be an alternative.

Thanks.
Nils

Hello Nils,

We tested the file with Acrobat Pro Version 10.1.16, with the standard accessibility check function.

The problems were:

-The alternative text of the pictures, as it was in Confluence, didn't export to the PDF

-The tables are partially not as tables recognised, after exported to PDF

Thank you!

Vasilis
