Exporting wiki as PDF strips images or mangles them at best

Sam Thomson April 30, 2012

I have a wiki space, it contains some images, some of these I uploaded and included, and some I drag/dropped.

If I try to export the space (or a page of it) as a PDF there are two problems. In the PDF, images in tables no longer scale like they did when viewing the space online, and lots of images aren't even included.

Basically I expect that when I export the apge as a PDF, the PDF looks like the page. This functionality was a reason we started using (perhaps ruling out..) confluence.

Hi Sam,

Unfortunately, there are several bugs currently with Confluence concerning exporting to pdf, and images:

https://jira.atlassian.com/issues/?jql=project%20%3D%20CONF%20AND%20status%20%3D%20Open%20AND%20text%20~%20%22export%20images%20pdf%22

The Dev team for Confluence is working to get them fixed, but exporting to pdf when images are involved is a known issue. Feel fre to add any details, votes, or comments to any of the issues listed in that link.

Cheers,

Gary
