Hello,
When I try to create a user with an admin account I get "Failed to create the user".
Also if I try to delete or disable the existing account I get "User "****" could not be enabled. The directory may be read-only."
When I try to delete a user I get "There was an error during user deletion: javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: Certificate for doesn't match any of the subject alternative names: [IT shows other domain names]. Please check your log files for more details." These domain names were old and not valid anymore.
Also I a user is invited I get the same SSL error.
So it is clear that the error is related to the SSL certificates, I searched in the documentation and didn't find anything related to SSL certificates integrated into the app itself.
Can anyone help?
The problem was that after the migration from the older version to the newer version of confluence, the link between Jira and confluence was broken since JIRA app was disabled and Jira was controlling the credentials, after deleting the link between both apps I was able again to manage users.
Can you check what's the current user directory's permission settings? if it's Read-only or Read-only with Local Groups, you might not be permitted to do any modification to the users.
