Filter result of recently updated macro?

I noticed that the recently updated macro contains calendar entries from restricted spaces. There is already an issue for that: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-48944

Is there any way to filter these results before the macro is rendered?

It does not seem to be possible, I ended up writing a macro migration and remove the type "custom". Furthermore for the profile action I wrote a servlet filter and removed the calender results.
